Substance Painter and Substance Designer in Practice

In this three-day course you will learn the theory of Physical Based Rendering and the practice with the Allegorithmic Tools “Substance Painter” and “Substance Designer” with regard to the overall workflow. Starting with the 3D model, texturing with Substance Painter/Designer is taught up to importing into the engine (here, the Unreal Engine 4 is used as an example). The tools are industry standard in the video game industry and 3D visualization and offer highly realistic textures and non-destructive workflows to always maintain full control over the appearance of your models. Different texturing possibilities as well as renderings directly in Substance Painter are covered, as well as the setting up of master material and an export pipeline to the Unreal Engine in Substance Designer. After this course you will have a practical overview of the core functions of these programs as well as initial experience in setting up, editing and exporting textures and materials.
